Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Junior Sous Chef for a luxury property based in the Madikwe Game Reserve. The Junior Sous Chef is responsible for assistnig the Sous and Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This will include all meal preparations and service under the guidance of the head chef.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure the efficient, effective and professional management of the kitchen the following will form part of daily duties.
Assisting the Sous Chef with the control and upholding all food related systems and procedures.
Supervision of junior staff in order to guarantee quality and consistency of all food production and service.
To liaise with Guests and maintain any food or dietary requirements.
To ensure that the daily meals and mis-en-place are prepared to the highest levels of quality and consistency.
To host meal venues and ensure the smooth and excellent operation of food service.

You will generally be required to work a cycle of 42 days on and 14 days off, however, this should be flexible due to lodge requirements. This cycle excludes annual leave of 21 days.
