We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous / Head Chef to lead the culinary team at a prestigious 5-star luxury camp in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
• Develop and execute innovative and seasonal menus that reflect the camp’s luxury standards.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, meeting and exceeding guest expectations.
• Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Handle and resolve any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly.
• Interact with guests to understand and cater to their dietary preferences and special requests.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a 5-star lodge environment.
• Proven track record in a luxury culinary setting with strong leadership and management skills.
• Expertise in creating and executing high-quality, innovative menus.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
