Ideally, we are looking for a talented couple, but we are open to individual candidates as well. This unique opportunity offers live-in positions within a beautiful, remote safari setting, providing an exceptional working environment in the heart of Madikwe Game Reserve.
Position 1: Assistant Manager / Head Guide
Responsibilities:
Oversee the guides and maintenance departments
Lead game drives and ensure guest satisfaction
Engage with mostly international guests, maintaining exceptional service standards
Requirements:
FGASA Level 2 & Lead Trails Guide certification
PDP & First Aid certification
DEAT Registration for NW Province
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a 5-star lodge
Excellent command of English, presentable, punctual, and trustworthy
Package:
Salary: R13,500 – R15,000 p/m (R17,500 – R20,000 for Assistant Manager)
Accommodation: Live-in with a one-bedroom house (no pets or dependents)
Meals, uniform, and annual leave provided
6 weeks on / 2 weeks off work cycle
Medical aid & provident fund after 6 months
Position 2: Front Office / Reservations / Spa Therapist
Responsibilities:
Manage reservations, FOH duties, guest services, and assist with lodge operations
Conduct spa treatments (qualified in Somatology with ITEC, CIDESCO, SAAHSP, or CIBTAC certification)
Administer room checks, coordinate housekeeping, and manage curio shop sales
Stand in for lodge managers and assist with general administration
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality (FOH/Reservations/Spa)
Qualified Somatologist with expertise in massage, facials, manicure/pedicure, and body treatments
Strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to oversee and supervise lodge staff and maintain guest satisfaction
Package:
Salary: R11,000 – R13,000 p/m (R17,500 – R20,000 for Assistant Manager)
10% commission on spa treatments
Accommodation: Live-in with a one-bedroom house (no pets or dependents)
Meals, uniform, and annual leave provided
6 weeks on / 2 weeks off work cycle
Medical aid & provident fund after 6 months
Couples Package
For the perfect couple matching both roles offers a combined package of R35,000 – R40,000.
