Key Outputs:
🌐 Overall responsibility for the food standards on the island: guest and staff food
🌟 Implement kitchen standards and make regular visits to staff kitchen and canteen
🌱 Develop and train staff to enhance their skills and ensure promotion opportunities
📋 Manage all administrative duties, including staff files, off-day schedule, and hygiene standards
🍲 Create seasonal menus based on guests in-house and produce in-store
🚀 Take the island’s food product to the next level in all areas
📦 Excellent stock controls, ordering processes, and stock rotation
🔧 Proactive maintenance of all kitchen equipment
📣 Excellent and regular communication with chefs, Heads of Department, Lodge Manager, and suppliers
👨🍳 Check all food going out to guests
👋 Meet guests on arrival, know their names
🌟 Excellent and regular interaction with guests, inviting feedback
🍽 Be aware of and make chefs aware of special dietary needs for staff and guests
💼 Good discipline and fair treatment in the department and lodge overall
Qualifications & Experience Required:
📜 Formal culinary qualifications and at least 2 years of management experience, ideally in a 5* operation
🔄 Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail
🎯 Guest-focused, positive outlook, excellent team player, committed, hardworking, and eager to learn
