Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Lodge Management Couple for a Luxury 5* Lodge set in the heart of the magnificent Welgevonden Game Reserve. You will be reporting directly to the owners and your responsibilities will include: Management of the lodge and staff on all levels. Close working relationships with the staff and head chef at the lodge.
Qualifications:
Tertiary Tourism Qualification is needed
At least 5 years’ experience in a lodge management roll at a 5 star game lodge
Him: Driver’s license, and PDP is essential. Level II FGASA and full trails / back up trails as well as walking Safaris.
One person must have an up to date First Aid certification
Her: Assistant Manager
All FOH duties: guest relations (meet and greet, hosting, curio shop sales)
Communication with the reservations team as to particular guest requirements
Staff / HR: Management of all staff; rosters, monthly wages; recording of leave
Managing the housekeeping team
Administration – stock control; purchases, month end stock counts; petty cash management; balancing of guest monies received
Reservation assistant when required
Him: Lodge Manager & Trails Guide
Overall management of all staff including maintenance team and 3 full time guides
Maintain and control budgets
Implementation of business strategies
Assisting with FOH duties
General management and maintenance of all assets
F & B management
