Kendrick Recruitment is now looking for a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef to lead a kitchen management team for an award winning, internationally known Hotel based in Umhlanga! As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for guests through quality food preparation, kitchen maintenance, and inventory functions.
With a minimum of 10 years’ previous senior chef experience in a luxury hotel and a diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts, you’ll bring your expertise and creativity to the table as you manage the performance and daily activities of the culinary staff.
As an organized and detail-oriented individual, you’ll ensure that all food production areas provide food items prepared and presented according to set standards at all times, monitoring for taste, visual appeal, quality, and established portions. You’ll also create and implement innovative menus for all outlets seasonally as well as menus for all special events which reflect your style but are in line with the Owners’ vision.
As a mature, responsible, well-presented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic, you’ll be actively involved in the training and development of each team member, supporting their learning through on-the-job application and coaching, and making them available for all appropriate training opportunities.
