📦 What’s the Role?
As a Stock Controller, you’ll be the mastermind behind all stock-related operations at the lodge, ensuring everything is in perfect order. From managing the inventory of supplies to keeping track of stock levels, your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining the smooth running of the lodge’s operations. You’ll help ensure that the lodge has everything it needs to offer a seamless and luxurious experience to guests.
📋 Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels and keep track of all incoming and outgoing stock to ensure there’s never a shortage of essential items.
Ordering & Stock Replenishment: Place orders with suppliers and manage the replenishment of stock based on lodge needs.
Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile inventory to ensure accuracy.
Supplier Relations: Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the lodge receives quality products in a timely manner.
Cost Control: Help with budgeting and controlling stock costs, ensuring the lodge operates within financial guidelines.
Record Keeping: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all stock transactions, including deliveries and stock usage.
Guest Supplies: Ensure that the lodge has all the necessary guest-related supplies in place, from amenities to food and beverage items.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure that stock is available for all lodge needs, from housekeeping to kitchen.
🛠 What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience as a Stock Controller in the hospitality industry, ideally within a luxury lodge or hotel setting.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge: Experience in stock management software and systems is a plus.
Team Player: Ability to work well with others and contribute to the smooth running of the lodge’s operations.
Proactive: Take the initiative to identify and solve potential stock-related issues before they become a problem.
Time Management: Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers and lodge staff effectively.
