What’s the Role?
As a Senior Travel Designer, you’ll be at the heart of crafting bespoke journeys, building relationships, and driving sales in a fast-paced, high-stakes travel environment. Your expertise in Southern and East Africa will elevate every guest experience, and your focus on delivering results will drive the company’s success.
Your Key Responsibilities
Sales Superstar: Secure, cost, and present tailor-made journeys to Sales Agents with speed and precision.
Supplier Whisperer: Master the art of supplier relationships—know the deals, specials, and packages, and negotiate benefits without compromising the guest experience.
Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the Reservations Manager to maximise sales potential and nurture agent relationships.
Effortless Service: Provide continuous and exceptional service to agents, ensuring efficient communication and meeting tight deadlines.
Guest Experience Guru: Design journeys with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Who You Are
Qualifications:
Matric certificate with Maths (minimum standard grade or higher).
Tertiary certification in Travel & Tourism/Hospitality (advantageous).
Experience:
4-5 years of senior experience in the inbound travel industry.
Proven expertise in customer relationships, product development, and journey creation.
In-depth knowledge of Southern and East Africa.
Familiarity with TourPlan, WETU, or similar booking systems.
Personal or educational travel experience is a plus!
Skills:
Creative, dynamic, and exceptionally organised.
Thrives under pressure and excels in meeting tight deadlines.
Strong financial skills and a self-starter with impeccable integrity.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
