What You’ll Do:
Assist in Menu Creation: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative and seasonal menus that highlight local produce and the estateβs fine wine.
Oversee Kitchen Operations: Ensure smooth and efficient daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate a talented team of chefs, ensuring everyone works effectively and to their highest standards.
Quality Control: Supervise food preparation and presentation to maintain the estate’s reputation for exceptional culinary experiences.
Inventory Management: Manage stock control, including ordering and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently without waste.
Guest Experience: Ensure guests receive an exceptional dining experience through consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or wine estate environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and training kitchen teams.
Creative flair with an eye for detail in food presentation.
Knowledge and passion for wine-pairing with the ability to integrate wine and food for a superior dining experience.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Solid knowledge of food hygiene practices and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
