📋 Position Overview:
The Senior Journey Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth booking confirmations and exceptional service delivery. With an in-depth understanding of Southern and East Africa, this role is all about communication, relationship building, and delivering top-notch service to both stakeholders and guests.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Manage and complete the booking confirmation process on the Wilderness Window platform.
Maintain continuous communication with Ops Specialists to ensure excellent service delivery.
Strengthen relationships with stakeholders, knowing their business trends and guest needs.
Attend familiarization trips alongside Ops Specialists (if needed) to further understand product offerings and enhance your knowledge.
Develop and promote products, creating memorable journeys for clients.
Ensure the accuracy and financial health of all bookings.
Leverage in-depth supplier knowledge to maximize relationships with AP partners and ensure a win-win situation for all.
🛠️ Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
Matric certificate (minimum standard grade, with math).
Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality is a plus.
Experience:
4-5 years of senior experience in handling customer relationships and promoting products in the inbound travel industry.
In-depth knowledge of Southern and East Africa travel destinations.
Working knowledge of TourPlan and WETU (or similar booking systems) is highly desirable.
Skills:
Dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly organized with exceptional communication skills.
Ability to remain steady in busy environments and consistently meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills without compromising accuracy or service quality.
Financially savvy with strong time management and organizational skills.
Self-starter with a high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
