About the Role:
As the Reservations Manager, you’ll oversee a busy and diverse department, managing all lodge and mobile safari bookings. You’ll lead a team of seven and collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure bookings are always at optimal levels. This is a fast-paced environment, so multitasking and hands-on involvement in logistics and operations are key!
Key Responsibilities:
Maximise yield and optimise bookings at all times π
Provide weekly and monthly reports on departmental results and analysis
Manage multiple reservation systems with proficiency
Constantly monitor and assess standards and procedures
Create tailored itineraries and costings for private safaris
Build and maintain strong relationships with agents
Handle budgeting, income analysis, and annual rate creation
Who Weβre Looking For:
Minimum of 4 yearsβ experience in a supervisory reservations role, preferably in the mobile safari industry
University degree in a relevant field π
Proficient in ResRequest and highly skilled in Excel
Knowledge of the Botswana tourism industry and confident team leadership skills
Experience in budgeting and rate construction, along with yield management
French or German language skills are a plus π
Salary & Benefits:
Salary negotiable based on experience (P25,000 to P30,000) πΌ
Flat salary structure with no perks (e.g., no medical allowance, housing provided, etc.)
Pension scheme available for Botswana citizens (5% employee contribution, 6% employer contribution)
This role is based in Maun, Botswana, and ideally seeks a local citizen to maintain our commitment to a 100% citizen-staffed environment.
