Kendrick Recruitment is on the hunt for a dynamic, energetic and all-rounder Relief Manager to join one of our top clients in the stunning Thornybush Region!

📍 Location: Onsite in the Thornybush Region
📆 Work Cycle: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
💸 Remuneration: Cash + Provident Fund (7.5% via Old Mutual) + 50% Discovery Medical Aid
🍽️ Perks: Accommodation, Meals, Uniform Provided
📜 Contract Type: Permanent
💼 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Think of yourself as the glue that holds a luxury lodge together. This role spans across all departments — you’ll be jumping in, keeping things running smoothly, and making sure guests leave raving about their stay. From operations and hosting to health & safety and admin, you’ll be the go-to person when the Lodge Manager steps away.
Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day:
* Support and uphold high operational standards
* Deliver world-class guest experiences — every time
* Anchor the lodge in the absence of the Lodge Manager
* Collaborate with teams and ensure smooth cross-departmental flow
* Assist with stock control, procurement, invoicing and daily admin
* Host guests with warmth and flair
✨ YOU’LL NEED TO BRING:
💡 Soft Skills:
* Strong leadership and coaching abilities
* A natural people-person with excellent guest rapport
* Superb communication skills
* Quick-thinking, calm under pressure, and emotionally intelligent
⚙️ Technical Know-How:
* Fluent in English with top-notch communication
* Tech-savvy and computer literate
* Strong Excel and admin skills
* Familiarity with reservation systems (Travelyst & Xero experience = big plus!)
📌 Requirements:
* At least 5 years’ experience in a similar Relief / Anchor / Assistant Lodge Manager role
* Hospitality qualification (Diploma or Degree)
* Driver’s licence essential
* Must be happy to live onsite in the bush
