Kendrick Recruitment is excited to present a unique opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join a prestigious Luxury Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. If you are an experienced payroll professional with a keen eye for detail, a passion for working in the hospitality industry, and a desire to contribute to a top-tier luxury estate, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
Payroll Management: Oversee the complete payroll process for all estate employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of wages, deductions, and benefits.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure payroll practices are in line with local labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Prepare and submit statutory reports, including UIF and tax submissions.
Employee Benefits: Administer employee benefits, including medical aid, provident funds, and other perks, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Reconciliations & Reporting: Regularly reconcile payroll and related accounts, producing accurate reports for management and finance departments.
Payroll Queries: Handle payroll-related queries from employees, ensuring prompt resolutions to any issues or concerns.
Record-Keeping & Documentation: Maintain payroll files and documentation, ensuring that all employee data is confidential, accurate, and secure.
Systems & Efficiency: Continuously look for ways to improve payroll systems and processes to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality or luxury industry.
Solid understanding of South African labour laws and payroll systems.
Proficiency with payroll software and MS Excel; experience with VIP Payroll is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all payroll calculations and documentation.
Confidentiality and a high level of professionalism in dealing with sensitive employee information.
Strong communication skills to interact with employees and resolve any payroll-related issues.
Ability to work efficiently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing payroll regulations or requirements.
