We are seeking a Head Chef and Front of House Anchor to oversee all culinary operations and front of house services, ensuring unforgettable guest experiences.
Summary of Position:
The Head Chef will be responsible for all kitchen operations, while the Front of House Anchor will oversee all front of house operations and guest services, including check-ins and check-outs, curio shop management, and beverage and meal services.
Duties and Responsibilities for Head Chef:
Daily communication with General Management/Villa Manager regarding guest preferences, dietary requirements, and kitchen operations.
Menu planning and design, ensuring high-quality culinary offerings.
Supervision of kitchen staff and daily food preparations according to SOPs.
Management of routine maintenance and servicing of kitchen equipment.
Staff management, including rostering, training, and performance management.
Oversight of inventory stock takes and stock control.
Actively seeking cost-saving opportunities through supplier investigation.
Compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations in the kitchen.
Duties and Responsibilities for Front of House Anchor:
Daily communication with General Management/Villa Manager regarding guest preferences, activities, and front of house operations.
Curio shop management, including stock takes and inventory management.
Guest arrival and departure procedures, ensuring a seamless experience.
Management of petty cash and reconciliation.
Orchestration and hosting of guest experiences, ensuring exceptional service.
Staff management, including rostering and performance management.
Support General Management in overseeing all operational functions and department heads.
Actively seeking opportunities for cost-saving and guest experience enhancement.
Administration within the F&B department and assistance with social media content.
Compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations throughout the property.
Package for Couple:
Comfortable accommodation provided.
Meals on duty and food and drinks budget.
One flight per year return to Johannesburg.
Salary combined around R50,000 gross.
Work schedule: 6 days off per month, flexible shifts.
Leave: Authorised in advance by GMs in accordance with business levels, starting with 24 days for the first year and increasing to 30 days per annum thereafter.
