Kendrick Recruitment, a leading international hospitality recruitment agency, is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Head Chef. We are currently seeking a highly skilled chef to join a standalone restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This Mediterranean-influenced steakhouse with a contemporary Santorini vibe, is renowned for its wide range of tapas plates and flame-grilled meats, perfectly paired with fine wines and craft beers.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a menu showcasing Spanish cuisine with a focus on creating tapas and flame-grilled meats.
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Create innovative and visually appealing dishes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Lead, train, and motivate the culinary team, ensuring consistency in food preparation and service.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
Maintain inventory levels, monitor food costs, and ensure proper stock rotation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Stay updated with industry trends, new techniques, and innovative ingredients.

Requirements:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant or steakhouse.
Strong background in Spanish cuisine, with expertise in creating tapas and flame-grilled meats.
Culinary qualifications and relevant certifications.
Creative flair and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Strong leadership and managerial skills to inspire and develop the culinary team.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in Southeast Asia will be an advantage.
