Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Executive Housekeeper for a 4-star lodge nestled in the breathtaking Kruger National Park. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take charge of and streamline the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service.
Maintain a comprehensive stock sheet for all chemicals, operating equipment, and linen, regularly updating it.
Conduct bi-monthly stocktakes for efficient inventory management.
Oversee the proper cleaning, management, and maintenance of linen.
Ensure adherence to the company’s set standards for stocking guest bedrooms.
Perform daily maintenance checks to address preventative maintenance and resolve existing issues promptly.
Compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Efficiently schedule staff to optimize productivity.
Conduct regular room updates and personally check rooms before marking them as clean and ready.
Assist with hands-on cleaning and laundry duties as needed.
Compile VIP arrival printouts daily, requisitioning relevant F&B items for each room.
Provide practical training to staff for adherence to standards, fostering development and growth.
Conduct thorough checks of Conference Rooms, Public Areas, and guest rooms.
Coordinate spring cleaning activities as required.
Manage lost property in accordance with company policy.
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper in a 4/5-star establishment.
Hospitality Management Qualification.
Strong leadership abilities.
Computer skills: MS Office, Plus Control, Plus Point, or familiarity with stock management systems (preferred).
Driver’s License preferable.
