Kendrick Recruitment are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join a Luxury property based in the Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking and a drive to create innovative and delicious dishes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and standards
  • Manage food inventory and ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Participate in menu development and suggest new ideas and techniques

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Culinary education or equivalent experience
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
