Role Overview:
This full-time role is ideal for a Tour Consultant Team Leader who will lead a team of consultants in delivering outstanding inbound travel services. You’ll be responsible for managing inquiries, overseeing all aspects of tours, coaching & developing team members, and ensuring seamless travel experiences for our clients. 🗺✨
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of consultants to success.
Oversee new inquiries and manage their distribution.
Ensure smooth operation of all tours, finding solutions to challenges.
Be on-call to problem-solve for in-country guests after hours.
Reconcile cancelled tours and assist with complex costings.
Report on conversion rates & sales, set and meet targets.
Collaborate with the Systems Lead on the smooth operation of DTE systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
5-7 years of proven managerial experience in luxury inbound travel.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of luxury travel destinations in Southern and/or East Africa.
Proficiency in Tourplan is essential.
Strong team collaboration, crisis management, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solutions-driven mindset.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to motivate team members.
Salary & Benefits:
R40,000 – R50,000 with commission-based incentives, reflecting your expertise in the luxury travel industry. 🌟💼
