Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef for a luxury resort in Hazyview. This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious establishment and play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to guests.

Location: Hazyview, Mpumalanga
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month

Job Purpose:

The Head Chef will be responsible for the overall management of all food production areas within the hotel. This includes menu planning, stock control, purchasing, hygiene standards, staff coordination, and ensuring the efficient and profitable service of food according to the hotel’s standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Finance: Maintain cost-consciousness when purchasing food items and kitchen consumables. Ensure portion control, food quality inspections, and accurate recording of meal charges and stock inventory.

Technical Competencies:

  • Diploma in Professional Cookery.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in food cost management and menu planning.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Full vaccination is a requirement.
