Salary: R22,000 (Single Live-In)

Kendrick Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Relief General Manager to join a prestigious luxury lodge in the Greater Kruger area. Key Qualifications and Requirements:

Driver’s License: Valid RSA Driver’s License.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Email.
Guest Relations: Exceptional guest relations skills.
Staff Management: Ability to manage staff effectively.
Department Understanding: Understanding and ability to manage different lodge departments.
Problem-Solving: Ability to plan ahead and problem-solve.
Financial Experience: Experience in budget control, stock takes, and stock control.


Previous Experience: Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5-star lodge is necessary.
ResRequest Experience: Experience with ResRequest will be beneficial.

Work Schedule: Follow a 21 days on, 7 days off work cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Lodge Management: Meticulously manage all aspects of the lodge.
Staff Management: Manage, oversee, and discipline staff effectively.
Staff Development: Provide staff training and development opportunities.
Social Media Support: Assist the marketing manager in obtaining content for social media.
Hosting Duties: Engage with and host guests as required.
Airport Transfers: Allocate and coordinate airport transfers.
Little Paws Program: Support the Little Paws program.
Cross-Department Assistance: Assist in other lodge departments when needed.
Relief General Manager: Act as a relief general manager between lodges.
Reporting: Report to Group Operations Manager(s) and Head Office.


Budget Control: Control lodge budget and ensure budgets are maintained.
Stock Control: Oversee stock control and conduct stock takes.
Expenditure: Maintain correct allocations of expenditures.

Rooms Division:

Department Management: Manage the housekeeping and front office departments in conjunction with your HOD.
Aesthetic Standards: Ensure the lodge maintains the required aesthetic standards.
Cost Control: Oversee food and beverage, kitchen, and maintain cost control.
Events: Assist with events planning and execution.
Menu Planning: Assist with menu planning and cost control.
