πŸ’Ό About the Role:
As the Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial controls and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the company’s hotels. You will work closely with Finance Managers, Operations Managers, and General Managers to compile budgets, develop strategies, and report on financial performance.

πŸ“Š Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and maintaining financial controls for the unit’s business.

Work with finance and operations teams to compile annual budgets and set objectives for the smooth running of the hotels.

Interpret monthly financial accounts for each property and report anomalies to the Group CEO.

Oversee the year-end audit for properties.

Prepare monthly and weekly financial reports, presenting findings to the Finance Manager.

Prepare variance reports for overspending and identify discrepancies or changes in strategy.

Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

Write new financial policies as needed and ensure approval from the CEO.

Guide and improve the skills of accounting staff, promoting job satisfaction and team growth.

Oversee training and development within the accounting department.

Manage personnel files, contracts, payroll, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

πŸ’‘ What We’re Looking For:
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or Manager within the hospitality industry.

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ACCPAC, VIP Payroll, and a good understanding of hospitality PMS systems (NEBULA would be a plus).

Qualification: A Matric is required; additional qualifications are a bonus.

Leadership: Strong leadership qualities, self-driven, with the ability to manage a finance team.

Attention to Detail: A keen eye for financial details and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

πŸ’° Salary & Benefits:
Salary: R30,000 – R33,000 (DOE)

Package: Cost to company, including a 5% deduction toward the company’s provident fund. Medical Aid available as part of the CTC package.
