Salary: R15,000 – R19,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Position: Live-in, 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join a luxury lodge in the prestigious Sabi Sands Game Reserve. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences in a stunning African bush setting.
What You’ll Do:
Manage the F&B Department: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge’s food and beverage department, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and maintaining high standards in service.
Lead & Motivate a Team: Manage a dedicated team of approximately 15 staff members, including training, development, and performance management to create a positive and productive environment.
Guest Experience: Ensure that guests receive exceptional food and beverage service.
Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet the lodge’s high standards, from preparation to presentation, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Stock Control: Oversee inventory management, including stock ordering, receiving, and ensuring minimal waste.
Cost Control: Monitor and manage the department’s budgets, ensuring the food and beverage department operates within financial guidelines and achieves profitability.
Liaise with Management: Work closely with lodge management to implement operational strategies, ensure guest satisfaction, and resolve any issues or concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience in an F&B Manager role within luxury hospitality or lodges, preferably in a remote or game reserve setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of diverse individuals.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to provide a world-class guest experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Financial acumen, with experience in budget management, stock control, and cost efficiency.
Willingness to live in a remote location with the ability to work on a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off cycle.
