Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an exceptional Executive Chef for a prestigious establishment in Kempton Park close to OR Tambo. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong culinary expertise and excellent management skills to lead and elevate the kitchen team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Completed diploma in Professional Cookery.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef.
• Communication: Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• Systems Knowledge: Proficient in Plus Point system.
• Food Cost and Menu Planning: Extensive knowledge of food cost and menu planning.
• Management Skills: Strong management skills.
• Conferencing Experience: Essential for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Food Procurement and Control: Maintain and control all food procurement, goods receiving, storage, issuing, stock taking, stock analysis, and stock security procedures.
• Culinary Activities: Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
• Menu Management: Modify or create menus that meet quality standards.
• Resource Estimation: Estimate food requirements and labor costs.
• Staff Management: Manage kitchen staff operations.
• Equipment Management: Arrange for equipment purchases and/or repairs.
• Cost Management: Be price-conscious when purchasing food items or kitchen consumables.
• Quality Control: Inspect each delivery to ensure food items are always of the highest quality.
• Portion Control: Ensure that portion control is always managed.
• Food Reprocessing: Ensure the reprocessing of food is actively implemented and managed daily.
• Meal Reporting: Obtain a daily meal/arrivals report from the Front Office to ensure correct allocation of meals.
