Duty Manager – Luxury Hotel – Franschhoek

Overview: As Duty Manager, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining guest satisfaction and the efficient functioning of the hotel.

Your Contribution:

• Oversee hotel shifts, ensuring smooth operations.
• Support the Front Office Manager with reception duties as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of public areas.
• Assist guests with property orientation and rooming.
• Provide top-notch concierge services, including reservations and transfers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a coordinated guest experience.
• Promptly report and address maintenance issues.
• Conduct property site inspections as required.
• Complete administrative tasks and reports accurately.
• Update property management systems and manage billing processes.
• Actively work towards improving guest feedback scores.
• Uphold service and quality standards while promoting property services.
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs and feedback effectively.
• Handle complaints promptly and according to company policy.
• Cultivate positive guest relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in training and property meetings.
• Adhere to company policies and health and safety standards.
• Address misconduct and handle reasonable requests professionally.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in a 5-star hotel or similar property.
• Solid background in customer service.
• Excellent knowledge of wine, food, and beverage.

The Package:

• Competitive Monthly Gross Salary: R15,000.00 (Negotiable based on experience)
• Flexible hours based on operational needs.
• 5% Company Contribution to Provident Fund (Old Mutual).
• Generous Annual Leave: 15 days, plus an additional day off for your birthday.
