Kendrick Recruitment is now searching for an experienced Reservationist for a 4* hotel based in Durban.
This Reservationist is responsible for being the primary point of contact for incoming booking enquiries & for fulfilling these requests in an efficient and professional manner. Applicants must currently be in a hotel or lodge-based Reservations position.
Job Requirements
Grade 12 (essential)
Degree or Diploma in Tourism/Hospitality (advantageous)
3 years experience in a Reservations role
MS Office Suite
Own reliable transport

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Sound financial acumen
Assists with monitoring occupancies and forecasts in line with set budget
Compiling of required reservation and financial reports
Computer literacy is essential
Operational experience within a high-end property
Manage and handle Hotel reservations
Ensures that confirmations of bookings are accurately sent out within a 24 hour turnaround time
Follow up on provisional bookings
Action daily reservation traces
Weekly (and daily) yielding to optimize all revenue channels
Ensure that the guest ledger for outstanding balances is cleared within 7 days of an account being added
Ensures Pro-forma invoices are sent out in time to guests and agents
Manage the maintenance and control of payment procedures for all reservations
Daily filing of all written correspondence
