Distribution Analyst, 5 Hotel & Spa, Cape Town*

Salary: R22,000+
A prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Cape Town is seeking a technically focused, detail-oriented, and highly organized Distribution Analyst. This role involves evaluating and guiding the revenue strategy across our premier properties in South Africa, aiming to maximize hotel profits.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Management: Optimize distribution operations and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure all target market segments are developed for the long-term benefit of the hotel’s business needs.
Communication & Coordination: Facilitate daily communication with operational teams and ensure rate parity and up-to-date information on all platforms.
Reporting & Forecasting: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports and forecasts, monitor trends in guest services, and drive revenue across properties.
Budget Management: Coordinate and execute the hotel’s annual budget requirements.
Leadership: Assume the duties of the Reservation and Groups Manager in their absence and manage the Reservations and Groups Teams in accordance with company principles.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in a 4* or 5* hotel, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Grade 12; a Hotel School Diploma is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Working knowledge of property management systems; experience with Opera and various distribution systems is essential.
Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly presentable and able to work flexible hours.
Solid financial understanding.
Desirable Experience:
Qualifications or experience in e-marketing.
Experience with interface programs.
Familiarity with management systems such as Synxis and Siteminder Trust.
