Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and run a specific kitchen section, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes.
Report to the Sous Chef and work closely with the team to ensure mise en place is meticulously planned and executed.
Manage the ordering of supplies and maintain readiness for each service.
Supervise food preparation, ensuring consistency in portion sizes, seasoning, and presentation.
Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Adapt to last-minute changes in reservations and adjust priorities accordingly.
Maintain a comprehensive record of preparation and presentation specifications for all dishes in the section.
Support and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food and service is achieved.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Basic knowledge of all kitchen sections.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and produce high-quality food.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, food hygiene practices, and sanitation standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
