Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a strong Yield Manager for a luxury Travel Company based in Cape Town. This exciting new opportunity is a vital part of the Commercial team, focusing on maximizing occupancies and Revpar for the properties across East Africa. As a Yield Manager, you will leverage data insights and analytics to play a strategic role in optimizing bednights, managing inventory, and developing pricing strategies. Collaborating with sales, agent relationships, marketing, and finance teams, you will ensure that initiatives are effectively communicated, and results are measurable.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Yield Management:
Contribute to defining pricing strategies in collaboration with key commercial managers with the goal of maximizing occupancy and driving bednight sales.
Own and operationally execute our in-house Dynamic Discount system to optimize its usability and effectiveness based on demand, seasonality, and other factors.
Use data analysis tools to identify the performance of key metrics, including RevPAR, daily available rooms, sharing regular reports with the commercial team.
Analyze occupancy trends and focus areas to ensure action-based solutions and a proactive approach.
Analyze the performance of existing and potential new distribution channels to identify areas of opportunity.
Use data analytics to forecast future occupancies, optimize special offers, and ensure prices are optimized to sales-travel lead time.
Collaborate with the commercial team to define pricing strategies, adopting a test-and-learn model.
Clear communication to the sales and marketing team to ensure understanding, alignment, and smooth execution of pricing strategies.
Collaboration with the Tech development team to make pricing and occupancies as visible as possible, as well as special offer tracking.
Ensure results are trackable and create reports to identify which initiatives have worked and which need further adjustment.
Provide insights and recommendations for revenue and yield improvement.
Inventory Management:
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal room availability and distribution.
Monitor room reservations, provisional bookings (and associated terms), and cancellations to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in revenue management or yield management at a multi-property level in the hospitality or safari industry.
Proficiency in revenue management software and data analytics tools, including but not limited to PowerBI and Excel.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
A deep understanding of the safari industry and its unique challenges.
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and make data-driven decisions.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Skills & Experience Advantage:
Understanding of B2B business models within the travel industry, as well as B2C.
Understanding of ResRequest inventory system.
Conditions and Working Hours:
You will be required to work in the Cape Town office from Monday to Friday.
You are required to work 9 hours per day, including an hour lunch break.
Working hours are 08h00 to 17h00 with some flexibility.
Travel for work may be required from time to time.
