At Kendrick Recruitment, a leading luxury hospitality recruitment agency, we are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for a skilled individual to take on the role of Fleet Manager for a group of lodges in Botswana.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee fleet management, including vehicle and plant inspections, service schedules, and maintenance.
Minimize vehicle downtime and ensure maximum turnaround in the workshop.
Maintain high workmanship standards and liaise with department heads on vehicle repairs.
Test drive vehicles post-servicing to ensure quality.
Collaborate with lodge managers, workshop teams, and regional managers.
Supervise workshop staff, including recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
Manage vehicle licensing, documentation, and maintenance records.
Monitor fuel usage, implement fuel consumption improvements.
Proactively handle fleet upkeep, including major repairs and replacements.
Prepare budgets and control workshop expenses.
Foster effective communication across departments.
Ensure workshop compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Formal mechanical qualification and trade test completion.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical workshop.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of Excel and Word.
Valid unendorsed driver’s license and passport.
Strong organizational and lateral thinking abilities.
Initiative-driven with excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to World Class Hospitality and Service Standards.
Ability to lead, correct, and motivate staff effectively.
Energetic, proactive, and able to handle pressure.
Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Experience and Knowledge:
Understanding of hospitality, environment, and surrounding communities.
Previous experience in workshop/mechanical roles.
Demonstrated hands-on approach and dedication to fleet improvement.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and standards.
Package includes:
BWP35,000 salary
BWP7,000 per month for accommodation
BWP20,000 travel allowance annually
