Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a dynamic Conservation Manager, within this role you will see you oversee critical environmental projects in Botswana and Namibia. You will collaborate on research initiatives, set environmental management plans, and ensure adherence to industry standards. Building relationships with NGOs, research institutions, and government agencies will be key as you drive impactful community projects. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of the habitats we protect and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead environmental projects across Botswana and Namibia.
Collaborate on research initiatives within different concessions.
Develop and enforce environmental management plans, adhering to industry standards.
Foster relationships with NGOs, research institutions, and government agencies.
Oversee the HABITAT team and field water projects.
Monitor and maintain equipment and infrastructure.
Liaise with government agencies and conservation stakeholders.
Manage the team handling problematic animals in collaboration with DWNP.
Conduct flora and fauna monitoring.
Engage and educate guests through presentations and hosting.
Lead environmental impact assessments and audits across properties.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in conservation and land management.
Proficiency in utility mapping and surveying.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in conservation management or a similar role.
Valid Driver’s License.
