Kendrick Recruitment is working with a luxury group of lodges across Botswana, who are currently seeking a Chef Trainer to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of culinary talent in remote and sometimes challenging environments.
Deliver comprehensive and hands-on training to the culinary team, focusing on bush kitchen techniques and practices.
Work closely with the new chef trainer to design and implement training programs that enhance the team’s culinary skills and knowledge.
Mentor and guide local community members, fostering their growth and development in the culinary field.
Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained across all lodges.
Collaborate with the team to create innovative and exciting menus that showcase the unique flavors of the region.
Embrace the challenges of working in remote environments and adapt to different cultural contexts.

Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience as a chef, preferably with “bush kitchen” experience in remote locations.
A passion for the bush and a desire to contribute to the growth of local communities.
Excellent culinary skills and a strong knowledge of diverse cuisines.
Ability to work in challenging and demanding environments with limited resources.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and cultural differences.
Previous training or teaching experience is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
