Kendrick Recruitment is excited to present an incredible opportunity for a dedicated Assistant Lodge Manager at a luxury lodge in Northern KZN. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about guest experiences, sustainability, and creating a positive impact on communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience: Meet and greet all guests, ensuring their needs are met, and delighting them with thoughtful touches.
Hosting: Host agents, media, groups, and evening events as required by business levels.
Lodge Operations: Support the Lodge Manager in their daily and weekly duties and cover for them during leave periods.
Planning & Coordination: Coordinate weekly schedules, including training, guest requirements, and staffing levels.
Housekeeping & Kitchen Oversight: Conduct room checks and ensure standards are upheld in all departments.
Staff Welfare & Training: Oversee team welfare, training, performance reviews, and promote teamwork across departments.
Health & Safety: Attend monthly Health and Safety meetings and implement necessary adjustments for your departments.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a 5-star operation, preferably as a camp or lodge manager.
Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with guests and fellow staff members.
Leadership & Integrity: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Guest Delight Focus: A natural inclination for creating memorable guest experiences.
Additional Skills: Lateral thinking, initiative, and ability to thrive under pressure.

Qualifications:
Managerial Training: Some formal managerial training preferred.
Driver’s License: Valid, unendorsed SA driver’s license is essential.

Previous Experience:
Service industry experience, particularly in guest and staff relations.
Previous camp or lodge management experience.
Experience working with children is an advantage.
