๐ผ Whatโs the Role?
The Assistant Homekeeper Manager will work alongside the Head Homekeeper to manage all aspects of housekeeping and cleanliness within the lodge, ensuring it meets the highest standards of excellence. This includes managing staff, overseeing laundry processes, maintaining lodge inventory, and ensuring that guests have a pristine, luxurious environment throughout their stay.
๐ Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Assist in leading a team of homekeeping staff, ensuring productivity, positive morale, and alignment with the lodgeโs standards.
Training & Development: Train new staff and monitor their performance to ensure the team meets or exceeds housekeeping standards.
Laundry Management: Oversee the laundering and ironing of linen and guest laundry, ensuring all items are accounted for and in pristine condition.
Inventory & Stock Management: Manage and monitor housekeeping supplies, uniforms, and consumables, ensuring sufficient stock within budget limitations.
Room Checks: Conduct daily room inspections to ensure guest suites are ready and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
Staff & Budget Management: Assist in managing the homekeeping department budget, completing stock takes, and keeping records accurately.
Guest & Lodge Communication: Effectively communicate with both the lodge management and homekeeping staff to ensure smooth daily operations and address any guest requirements or special requests.
๐จ What Are We Looking For?
Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel environment. Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus!
Leadership Skills: Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team to ensure high standards and a smooth-running department.
Attention to Detail: You are meticulous in ensuring that all areas of the lodge are maintained to a world-class standard.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with staff and management, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Budget Management: Familiarity with managing budgets, stock levels, and keeping costs in line.
Passion for Hospitality: A genuine interest in creating a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience for guests.
