🔍 What You’ll Be Tackling:
🦓 Safari Operations
Support the Head Guide in day-to-day guiding operations, including game drives, bush walks, tracking, guest hosting, and safety protocols
Take charge in the absence of the Head Guide—managing guide teams, vehicle allocations, and smooth safari experiences
Oversee firearm safety and licensing, vehicle upkeep, and departmental readiness
Contribute to lodge social media platforms with authentic, engaging content from the field
🎓 Training & Mentorship
Help train and mentor junior guides and field students
Encourage professional development, guiding growth, and team cohesion
Lead by example and uphold the highest guiding standards
🧳 Guest Service & Experience
Collect and communicate guest preferences and ensure personalized experiences
Act swiftly on guest feedback or concerns
Be a point of calm and leadership in emergencies (medical, fire, evacuation, etc.)
🎯 What You’ll Need to Bring to the Firepit:
✔ FGASA NQF4 Lead Trails Guide
✔ Advanced Rifle Handling & Rifle Proficiency
✔ First Aid Level 2
✔ Valid Driver’s License + PrDP
✔ Previous experience as a Senior or Assistant Head Guide
✔ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
✔ Strong administrative, organizational, and planning abilities
✔ A passion for conservation, storytelling, and epic guest experiences
✔ A calm, confident, and adaptable nature
✔ A desire to uplift and grow others on their guiding journey
