Kendrick Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager with extensive Restaurant management experience, for a busy, high-end restaurant in the heart of Cape Town.

Responsibilities & Duties Include:

Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and high standard of service at all times.
Deal with complaints and compliments effectively and efficiently, recording them in day end report ensuring senior management is aware of them.
Staff Management
Meet, greet, seat and farewell customers at the Restaurant.
Ensure efficiency in taking of orders, service and clearing/resetting of tables.
Ensure professional interaction between waitrons and guests.
Receive and action all reservation requests by capturing on Dineplan and ensuring that all relevant information pertaining to the customer needs reflects on the booking.
Compilation and management of Duty Rosters, Leave Schedules or forms, cleaning schedules and various other personnel-related documentation.
Conduct Interviews and perform quarterly reviews of staff under your jurisdiction.
Ensure that waitrons remain motivated by means of effective man-management practices and morale building.
At all times communicate effectively and professionally with your subordinates. Be careful not to belittle or embarrass them in front of their peers or customers.
Ensure correct maintenance of POS system and be totally conversant with loading, fault finding and rectifying of faults.
Operational Stock takes and restocks
Ensure the daily set-up of the restaurant is completed timorously and effectively
Conduct daily meetings with the chef, FOH and management team, in order to have sound knowledge of daily requirements and guests needs.
Hygiene, Safety and Security duties.
Staff training
Requirements:

Must have extensive Restaurant Management experience in a high-end restaurant setting
Understanding of the tour group business is advantageous
Must be fully computer literate
Must be well acquainted with Micros POS
Knowledge of Dineplan advantageous
Must be willing to work weekends (not negotiable)
Excellent communication skills
Proactive and motivated approach to staff management
Must have own transport
South African Citizens only
