Desired Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated passion and dedication to the culinary arts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming demeanor.
• Effective communication abilities with colleagues, superiors, and guests.
• Minimum Grade 12 qualification and completion of 6 months formal chef’s training.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Commis Chef in a 4*/5* establishment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is advantageous.
• Physical and mental resilience to excel in a demanding, high-pressure role.
• Flexibility to assist with various tasks and projects as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and presentation of dishes to exacting 5-star standards, accommodating guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Contribution of innovative ideas to enhance revenue streams and business opportunities.
• Support to the Sous Chef in menu development, trend analysis, and implementation.
• Oversight of stock levels, costing, rotation, and inventory management.
• Supervision, motivation, training, and performance management of kitchen staff.
• Maintenance of Operating Equipment (OE) to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
• Adherence to stringent health, safety, cleanliness, recycling, pest control, and waste management protocols.

• Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts.
