Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Reservationist for a luxury lodge group with Head Office situated in Johannesburg. We are looking for a well presented, organized candidate to take on the role of Reservationist at this establishments which are based in the Lowveld.
Requirements:
” At least 1 year’s experience in a 4 or 5 star Reservations Position (Essential)
” Opera “Individual and Group/ Block Reservations” (Essential)
” Experience with OTA ExtraNET platforms
” Basic Computer skills (Windows literate)
” Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
” Excellent Administration Skills
” Excellent Telephonic Communication Skills
” Able to work under pressure
” Able to work shift work and Weekends on a rotational basis
Key Areas of Responsibility:
” To ensure that all reservations requested are entered into the system quickly and accurately and confirmed accordingly.
” To check all reservations/bookings downloaded from Central Reservation Office, confirm and send correspondence where necessary
” Ensuring that reservation policies and procedures regarding payments, confirmations, terms, and conditions are effectively adhered to, and in line with a 5 Star Hotel
” To assist the Sales & Marketing department in promoting and selling the Hotels and the facilities to prospective guests.
” Ensuring and adhering to effective communication from the reservations department to all operational departments.
” To ensure that room type overbooking is managed far in advance to avoid hotel overbooking.
” To ensure that deposit and contracts are received timeously, correctly, and to report any deviations to the Reservations Manager.
” General Office and Admin duties.
” Maintaining all guest/agent/company profiles in Opera.
” Handling guest Queries.
