Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Safari Manager for a busy and established lodge based in Bela Bela, Limpopo. We are now recruiting for a Safari Manager with at least 3 years’ guiding experience in a Big 5 Reserve.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Safari department with 33 staff complement
- Daily Scheduling of field guides over three divisions
- Budget Controls
- Fleet Management
- Drive Scheduling
- Equipment checks, controls and maintenance
- Training and Guiding of Safari Team to ensure extraordinary guest experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in guiding at a Luxury Lodge in a Big 5 Reserve.
- FGASA Level 2 essential
- FGASA Level 3 with Full/Backup Trails preferred
- DEATS registration
- Advanced Rifle Handling
- Valid driver’s license with PrDP
- Valid First Aid Level 1 minimum
- Matric
- Criminal Clearance Certificate required
- Solid references
- Honesty and integrity
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent ability to communicate and deal courteously with people at all levels
- Excellent service orientation
- Energetic and focused
- Valid RSA ID
- Presentable Appearance
Package Details:
- Work Cycle is 21 days on & 7 days off
- Position includes accommodation, meals on duty & uniform
- Salary: R16K gross
- 5% provident fund is available (compulsory)
- Company does provide medical aid at 50% of main member’s premium (capped at Discovery Classic Saver contribution value)
