Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager for a beautiful Wine Estate based in Franschhoek. We are looking for someone who is passionate about maintenance, planning and organizing to become part of the team!


  • Bachelor’s degree / BTech diploma in facility management or similar field or similar work experience.
  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Computer literate (Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must have relevant Planned Maintenance Training
  • Experience in the hospitality sector will be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • A valid driver’s license


  • Act as liaison between operations and maintenance
  • To improve workforce productivity and work quality
  • Eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts, material and equipment access.
  • Responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance related matters
  • Job knowledge for what needs to be done, required labour hours etc
  • Coordinate equipment downtime
  • Responsible for ongoing planned and yearly shut down maintenance.
  • Assist with development of annual overhaul/shutdown schedules
  • Assist with all administrative related tasks
  • Maintain workshop (receiving and dispatch of stock to site)
