Although my surname is now Botha, my British (Kendrick) accent remains firmly intact. After studying hospitality before leaving school, I transitioned into the world of recruitment. I now call Hazyview, South Africa my home, which I share with my husband, two boys, and a menagerie of four-legged friends such as dogs, horses, and impalas. I’ve spent many years in the hospitality and tourism industry, having been active in the Lowveld region since 2009. After earning my degree in Human Resources, I have held various industry-related roles, including guide training management, high-end lodge management, and hospitality recruitment. With this experience, I have a solid understanding & comprehensive knowledge of the whole industry and all the relevant departments. Candice has over 16 years of experience in the international hospitality industry, starting with her move to Dubai after school. She later ran her own event coordination company and managed a wedding venue at a luxurious 5-star game lodge in South Africa, before returning to Dubai in 2015 to work as an international flight attendant for Emirates. Candice’s passion for the hospitality industry and connecting with people led her to join Kendrick Recruitment, where she specializes in the luxury hospitality industry and is eager to assist in finding your next career adventure.

From a young age, I’ve had a passion for travel and adventure, which led me to study hotel management in Switzerland and work in various hospitality outlets in Zanzibar and beyond. Now based in Zimbabwe, I discovered my interest in recruitment while helping a former employer source management staff for his hotel. I joined Kendrick and have found connecting with candidates and helping them find their ideal career opportunities to be the most fulfilling aspect of my work. Having taught English in South Korea, my longing for natural spaces inspired me to pursue a career in hospitality and conservation. I began with Field Guide training in 2010 and have since worked in various positions in African lodges, gaining valuable knowledge and industry insight. Now, back on my family farm in South Africa, I’m eager to apply my skills and experiences to this new chapter. I love the diversity of hospitality and would be thrilled to help you find your own “happy place” within the industry.

With 13 years of exposure to Luxury Hotels and their operational requirements, I have developed a profound interest in helping those around me understand their potential and reach their professional goals.

I have been fortunate to open two magnificent hotels throughout my career, and in doing so developed a keen fascination in sourcing the best candidates for our positions. Those that will execute the company’s vision while doing what they are passionate about.

In sourcing the right candidates for our property is where my passion for helping people to land their dream job developed, which in turn, led me to Kendrick Recruitment.
